The real estate market has gotten its hands dirty. Construction fraud, real estate fraud, and the many unsavory affairs within the housing association sector have not done the sector any good. The sector remains susceptible to fraud; it is a capital-intensive and opaque industry with free entry and exit of participants. But fortunately, the wheat is being separated from the chaff. Industry organizations such as NVB, AEDES, Bouwend Nederland, IVBN, VGM, NVM, Creme, ROZ, StiVAD, Corenet, NeVap, NVR, RICS, NRVT, Vereniging van Grondbedrijven (Association of Land Companies), FIDIC, NL-ingenieurs, Vastgoedcertificaat, UNETO-VNI, Dutch Green Building, ULI, Platform 31, Vogon, Breeam, NRW, Vastgoedbelang, EPRA, Redex, and others support their members in safeguarding quality and integrity. So there are many reputable parties in the sector, with whom we enjoy working well. And thankfully so.

We understand the real estate cycle like no other. From initiative and design phase to realization and operation. We know the players in the real estate market. We guide them all: investors, developers, end users, asset managers, construction companies, financiers, architects, engineers, real estate agents, and other advisors. We know the players and the actors. We can create a DCF or calculate a residual land value. We are familiar with tendering, the Environment Act, and zoning plans. We can draft contracts for all phases of the cycle. We have access to a database with more than 50,000 national and international titles on research results related to real estate markets. They all share a desire to serve their clients as effectively as possible. This means they recognize their limitations and will refer clients to a civil-law notary for notarial matters. Some of their clients have their own dedicated civil-law notary. Others don't. And who do you refer them to then? Not just any civil-law notary. But to a civil-law notary who can be expected to offer the referred clients at least the same attention and quality of service as the referrer would if they had the expertise in-house. Conversely, we see clients whom we, in turn, must refer. To an accountant, a bank, or an intermediary. Because we, too, are aware of our own limitations.

Westland is the leading greenhouse horticulture municipality in the Netherlands. Horticulture is the third economic engine of our country. We must prioritize keeping this Greenport future-proof. For example, we must nurture the Greenport Horti Campus and the World Horti Center as an international center for greenhouse horticulture education, knowledge, and innovation. We must continue to collaborate on a sound vision for land use. Will the land be designated for housing, or are other options conceivable? Entrepreneurs must have investment security, including with regard to sustainable energy consumption. This also encourages them to develop new markets and cultivate biobased crops (stevia, vanilla, and hemp).
