At MAES notaries we sell peace of mind, reliability and security.

We previously arranged the transfer and mortgage of purchased properties for several of our private clients through our former discount label, Basisnotarissen Rijnmond. All other notarial services were always provided by our affordable, high-quality MAES notarissen.

As of January 1, 2024, we will serve all our clients—private individuals, businesses, and government agencies—for all their affairs, including deliveries and mortgages, exclusively under the MAES Notarissen quality label. While we have retained the trading name Basisnotarissen Rijnmond, we will no longer carry the Basisnotarissen Rijnmond discount label. This will not affect our clients, however: the Basisnotarissen Rijnmond team has been an integral part of the MAES Notarissen team for many years.

All work previously performed under the banners of Basisnotarissen Rijnmond and MAES Notarissen by the defunct civil-law notary, Mr. EM (Ed) Bijster, is governed by the protocol of Mr. GHHJ (Geert) Janssen MRE MBA, a civil-law notary at MAES Notarissen.
