Casper (born 1991), a senior candidate civil-law notary, studied notarial law in Leiden, completed his vocational training a few years later, and then later graduated cum laude (how impressive!) from the Grotius Academy's specialized program in Corporate and Business Law. He also served as a board member of the Ring of Civil-Law Notaries and Candidate Civil-Law Notaries in The Hague.

Casper leads our Corporate Law practice group with great enthusiasm. Incorporations, amendments to articles of association, the issuance, transfer, or pledging of shares, certification, mergers, spin-offs, and shareholder agreements—to name just a few—are all his forte.

Casper previously worked for almost a decade at Loyens & Loeff, a large interdisciplinary firm of tax advisors, lawyers, and civil-law notaries, both at the offices in Amsterdam and in beautiful Amsterdam, often with international clients. While that firm had brought him a lot, the entrepreneurial spirit and dynamism of a firm like ours beckoned. It's understandable that Casper couldn't and didn't want to resist. With us, he still serves regional and international clients, at at least the same professional level as before, but now—due to our lower overhead—at a much more attractive hourly rate.

Casper lives with his wife and two young children in The Hague, where he grew up and developed his love of football. Casper also runs. There's a good chance you'll see him speeding past at the CPC or perhaps even at the Rotterdam Marathon. If so, keep an eye out for the well-groomed shirt—featuring the MAES logo—he's wearing. We think he deserves number 1, because what a king this athletic and communicative notary-in-training is.
