Sustainable company

We are building a sustainable company that values not only profit and margin, but also ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance). A healthy living environment—clean air, water, and soil—contributes to the quality of life. We are aware of the impact our activities can have on the environment.

Green growth

We are convinced that we can grow as a company without placing an additional burden on the environment. By growing sustainably. By being efficient with energy, our building, interior, transport, and paper. By being mindful of consumption. By recycling waste. By embracing green.

With trendsetting interior planting creations from Zuidkoop , we make our office environment even more livable for our visitors and colleagues. And with the sustainable floral concept from Flowers of Joy , we add even more color to our interior. And that suits us just fine.

Our gardener, NH Gardens , is preparing our garden for spring. He's going to be doing some paving work for us. This involves removing paving stones and replacing them with plants, trees, and shrubs. By greening the garden, we're encouraging biodiversity and increasing the habitat for bees, butterflies, and other animals. Wisteria is being planted at the front of our office building, and at the back, we're creating a flower wall with clematis, an herb garden, and a pergola with vines.

In our garden, when the weather is nice, we have a picnic table and a lounge set ready for customers who arrive too early for an office visit and want to enjoy the sun on their faces.

Bicycle racks

We travel as much as possible on foot, by (electric) bicycle or clean car, promote hybrid working, fly less, print only what is strictly necessary and then always double-sided.

In line with our sustainability ambitions, we've installed five bike racks on the side of our office building in Vlaardingen for visitors who are tempted to leave their cars at home. But these racks are also there for all visitors who already choose to cycle without us having to encourage them.

Free parking with charging point

If you do come to our office in Vlaardingen by car, you can park for free on our premises and there is an Eneco charging station for your electric car waiting for you.

Customer-oriented notary office

Because there are notary offices, and there are MAES civil-law notaries. Our approach is distinctive. Not as a goal, but as a result. We counter all the shades of gray with color.
