First digital deeds passed
The first digital deeds have been executed. Two firms were the first: eKo Notaris in Zwijndrecht and Aqte Notarissen in Bergen op Zoom. "The fully digital establishment of a private limited company is more than just a symbolic step," says KNB chair Annerie Ploumen. "This finally makes the digital deed a reality."
Starting January 1st of this year, after years of preparation, it will be possible to establish a private limited company (BV) digitally. One of the first entrepreneurs to take advantage of this opportunity was Francesco van Loon of Collimated. He had his deed executed by notary Patricia Harrison of Aqte Notarissen, where, at his invitation, the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries (KNB) observed the execution process.
