Guardianship, asset management and execution
MAES Notary Execution Foundation
We offer, through the Stichting Executele MAES Notaris, to perform executor duties if the foundation is appointed to do so by a testator.
A notary is expected to be knowledgeable, impartial, independent, less emotionally involved than family members, and has a duty of confidentiality. Moreover, by appointing a notary as executor, you prevent family relationships from being unnecessarily burdened by arbitrary and improper actions. We not only handle the legal and fiscal aspects of the settlement, using state-of-the-art software, but also handle all practical aspects for the testator with third parties if desired. Everything is arranged properly in one go. If you choose to appoint Stichting Executele MAES Notaris as your executor, we will provide you with instructions and an organized file folder after the execution of the will, so you can keep relevant documentation organized and the settlement can proceed more smoothly in the future.
The Stichting Executele MAES Notaris can be appointed as executor after a death if the heirs are unhappy with the way the estate is being settled, or if the initially appointed executor is no longer able or willing to handle the settlement, for example, due to their liability risk. The Stichting Executele MAES Notaris can replace or be added to the original executor after a death, or be granted power of attorney by the original executor to handle the settlement.
We not only handle the settlement of estates as executors at the request of testators or family members who are heirs, but we also do this for charitable institutions - good causes - which we can assist in this process.
