Our values
Impartial
We are impartial. Impartiality is a core value of the civil-law notary. The requirement of impartiality means that the civil-law notary must consider the interests of all parties to the deed, treat all parties equally, and provide the same level of information. Acting impartially precludes the civil-law notary from identifying with the interests of any one party. Therefore, we continually seek balanced solutions that minimize future conflicts. In doing so, we consider not only the client's interests but—by virtue of our position—also those of other parties involved and the possibilities offered by law. Therefore, it may happen that we can only partially meet a client's wishes. Nevertheless, even then, we are representing the client's interests properly. You benefit from a solution that prevents problems. The fact that the civil-law notary is impartial in the exercise of their duties does not preclude them from acting as a party advisor for a client. In that case, we will immediately inform the other party that we are acting as a party notary, so that the other party can also be assisted by their own party notary or lawyer.
