KNB introduces digital client identification service
Today, the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries (KNB) is launching a new service: Digital Client Identification (DCI). This allows clients of civil-law notaries to identify themselves digitally, securely and quickly, in advance, at the notary's request.
With DCI, clients can digitally identify themselves 24/7 prior to receiving services. This is done via the KNB's secure platform and a specially developed identification app on the client's phone. This app reads the client's personal data from a chip in the relevant ID document. This ensures the notary has the correct identification information, and the risk of errors is virtually zero.
