Minister supports Carefree Real Estate
The Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Kajsa Ollongren, supports Zorgeloos Vastgoed (Carefree Real Estate). This is a partnership between various parties involved in the home buying process. Ollongren will explore how cross-sector agreements can support this initiative.
The Minister expressed her support in a letter to the House of Representatives regarding the Mortgage Platform. In this letter, she meets annually with stakeholders in the sector to discuss the most important developments and bottlenecks in mortgage lending. Carefree Real Estate was also discussed in this letter.
Digitize purchase contract
Within this partnership, agreements have been made regarding how and on what legal basis organizations in the real estate chain exchange data. A first step has also been taken toward digitizing the purchase contract. In addition to the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries (KNB), the Land Registry, the Dutch Association of Real Estate Agents (NVM), and the Mortgage Data Network (HDN) are involved in this process.
Automatic
Thanks to Zorgeloos Vastgoed, notaries will soon be able to automatically import the information from purchase agreements into the software. This is a first step towards relieving the burden on both consumers and service providers. The goal is to give consumers more control and provide them with (legal) certainty sooner throughout all phases of their homeownership journey: from orientation to moving in.
