NAC takes over training complex in Zundert under its own management

The training complex is currently leased from the Braspenning family. After years of collaboration between both parties, the complex is now coming into the full hands of NAC. The site covers approximately 50,000 square meters and currently has space for three to five football pitches.

General Manager Remco Oversier: “ With this acquisition, NAC gains the opportunity to further develop its long-term vision for the training facility and make independent decisions regarding the necessary investments. Within the current grounds, there is the potential to expand the number of pitches from three to five. Additionally, the club intends to further develop the facilities at the complex in the coming years to align them with, and give a boost to, NAC’s sporting ambitions. Furthermore, this acquisition fits within the broader development the club has initiated in recent years. The purchase is also a potential value investment for the future. ”

Previously, NAC took over the management of the Rat Verlegh Stadium via a leasehold arrangement and invested in a new pitch. At the training complex, NAC also aims to develop facilities befitting the stable Eredivisie level the club aspires to in the long term.

Oversier: “ NAC wishes to express its explicit appreciation for the Braspenning family. The club leased the training complex from the family for many years. The good relationship and constructive cooperation ultimately led to a smooth agreement regarding the sale, and we are therefore grateful to them for that. ”

On behalf of the Braspenning family, Jan Braspenning also expresses a word of thanks: " We have built this complex brick by brick over the years and maintained it with great love. We feel deeply honored that it is now being handed over to NAC. Behind the scenes and on the sidelines, we will continue to support NAC with the future plans in Zundert. ”

MAES Notarissen acted as the instrumental notary. The notarial deal team consisted of André Steijns, Linda de Blaauw, and Geert Janssen.

It was a historic and special moment not only for NAC and the Braspenning family, but also for Notary Janssen. He recalled that he could remember as if it were yesterday attending his first NAC match almost half a century ago, in 1982 (then still in the old stadium), with a good childhood friend. That childhood friend has been a season ticket holder ever since and still goes to watch almost every home game at his beloved club. What a beautiful bromance between the men and the club!
