New podcast: The real estate notary as gatekeeper

Money laundering schemes, ABC transactions, and front men: they're all covered in the new podcast "The Real Estate Notary as Gatekeeper." The podcast features Robert Helder (Utrecht University), Dirk Kolkman (BFT), John Meijerink (police), Hans van den Boom (Tax and Customs Administration), and Ton Konings (FIOD).

The podcast was inspired by the conference "Strengthening the Gatekeeper Role of the Real Estate Notary in Practice" held on March 11th. The podcast participants were also speakers at this conference, which was organized by the Royal Dutch Notary Association (KNB), the Association of Notarial Registered Property Specialists (NRS), the Center for Crime Prevention and Safety (CCV), and the Safe Business Platform (PVO).

Red flags
In the two-part podcast commissioned by the CCV, the speakers discuss topics including money laundering, front men, red flags, buy-to-let schemes, and carousel sales. KNB chair Annerie Ploumen and NRS board member Erwin van Elst also speak.
