Significant increase in the number of deeds passed in July
Notaries executed 17 percent more deeds in July than in the same month last year. All legal areas saw an increase in the number of deeds, but the largest increases were seen in mortgage deeds (32 percent) and transfer deeds (31 percent).
In total, notaries executed more than 163,000 deeds in July. A year ago, that number was just under 139,000. The increase follows a dip in June, when the number of deeds decreased by 6 percent compared to the same month last year.
More living wills
The July fact sheet (pdf) shows that the number of living wills and wills is also on the rise: an increase of 14 and 8 percent, respectively. More private limited companies have also been established compared to July 2023: an increase of 6 percent.
