Summary of Model Regulations for Small Owners' Associations available

The Dutch Apartment Law Modernization Working Group (WMANL) has developed a summary of the Model Regulations for the Division of Condominium Rights into Small Owners' Associations 2021 (MR Small VvEs). This public version explains the rules within a small VvE in simple language and how to apply them.

The MR Small VvEs provides standard solutions for common problems within small VvEs. The MR Small VvEs was drafted based on the 2017 model regulations for VvEs. The MR Small VvEs is simpler in design. Articles that did not necessarily need to be included in the regulations have been omitted. The remaining provisions have been simplified as much as possible.

Nevertheless, it remains a legal text. Therefore, the WMANL has created a summary (PDF) of the Small Homeowners' Associations Regulation, a so-called public version. This summary is even simpler, providing clarity about the rules within a small homeowners' association and how these rules are applied.
