GHHJ (Geert) Janssen MRE MBA

Geert (born 1966) is a civil-law notary at MAES Notarissen. He specializes in corporate law, real estate, and estate planning . He is also a real estate and investment expert and an enterprising business expert. He has an analytical mind. Helpful, dedicated, and communicative. He is a business partner, trusted advisor , team player, and problem-solver.

Geert was previously a civil-law notary and full equity partner at the city law firm Simmons & Simmons, and later at Stibbe in Amsterdam's Zuidas district. Geert began his career in 1992 at Loeff Claeys Verbeke in Amsterdam, the legal predecessor of Loyens & Loeff and A&O Shearman. He has been named a " leading individual " by Legal500, Chambers & Partners, Advocatie, and PropertyNL. For what it's worth.

Geert studied law at Leiden University, obtained a master's degree in real estate and investment science (MRE) from the School of Real Estate (ASRE) of the University of Amsterdam and completed the Global Executive MBA program of the five leading business schools in Asia, Europe and the Americas, collaborating in a consortium, namely: the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK); Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV); EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey; Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University; and Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC).

Geert is a good listener and a results-oriented negotiator. A MAEStro. Streetwise. Gentle on the person, clear on the subject matter. He knows how to bring parties together. He completed the Harvard Law School " Program on Negotiation " and the MfN mediation program, but he developed his negotiation and mediation skills primarily in practice, handling numerous and diverse cases.

Despite all his (semi-)intellectual efforts, our Ultimate Beneficial Owner is perhaps most proud of the certificate he received after successfully completing the one-day Formula 1 driving course at the Paul Ricard circuit in France.

Geert, father of three daughters who have since left home, lives in The Hague, the capital of Peace and Justice.

Geert says...

We recognize the responsibility we bear for our stakeholders: our customers, our employees, suppliers, the government, and the society we are part of, both professionally and socially. Our social responsibility focuses on three themes: governance, a sustainable living environment, and social engagement. We hope to have an impact through these.

Our social commitment means we support charities and social organizations in the areas of Health and Wellbeing, Culture, and Sports. For example, we support Support Casper, Theater Pepijn and Diligentia, Sparta Rotterdam, Hockey Club Rotterdam (HCR), and Team Janssen de Jong's (JAJO) participation in The Ocean Race, the world's toughest sailing competition .

We are open to sponsorship requests and will assess them against our sponsorship criteria. Criteria include ties to the Rotterdam The Hague Metropolitan Region, contribution to society, increasing our visibility, strengthening our reputation, and the quality of the compensation. Sponsorship can consist of a monetary amount or the provision of notarial services at a moderate fee. We also value contributing to strengthening our networks, being involved with relevant professional organizations, and making a voluntary contribution to the community we are a part of.
