On September 8, 2022, during an evening program including dinner, Sdu and the Golden Hourglasses jury presented the Golden Hourglasses for the 17th time to individuals and initiatives that excelled in innovation in the legal field over the past year.

It was a very enjoyable and excellently organized event in De Hallen, with many (former) familiar faces from the legal sector in attendance. The seasoned Merel Westrik placed the nominees and the absolute standouts—both the boomers and the NextGen —on a well-deserved pedestal. Congratulations to the winners!

The illustrious and somewhat cabaratesque duo the Anker brothers received the Golden Hourglass for their oeuvre now that they have hung up their robes as of January 1st.

The fact that the Stibbe office—where our notary, Mr. GHHJ (Geert) Janssen MRE MBA, was previously a notary and partner—is a breeding ground for multi-talented individuals was clearly demonstrated by the Young Talent Award presented to Annalies Outhuijse. Incidentally, brothers Hans and Wim Anker were quick to claim her success, as Annalies received her training not so much at the Zuidas, but primarily in Ljouwert, at the office of these two retired criminal lawyers.

Thanks to these services, Notarial Services is the clear market leader with a market share of around 5%. Recently, the company acquired the second-largest firm in the market. This is expected to maintain its strong growth rate.
