Kick-off of notary training: 2 new groups launched
The Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries welcomed two new groups of candidate civil-law notaries in recent weeks. Thanks to the notarial training program, they are getting a flying start to their notarial careers. KNB board member Thijs Flokstra was present to welcome the new group.
Two-day introductory meetings with both substantive and social activities were held at the Heerlickheijd conference hotel in Ermelo on October 5 and 6 and on October 12 and 13.
Good preparation
The notary profession is a profession that adapts to the changing needs of society and societal changes. Notary vocational training plays a key role in this by ensuring that future notaries are well-prepared for their careers. During the introductory sessions, over 50 candidate notaries worked on their learning goals for the next three years, ranging from performing under pressure and managing stress to asking effective questions and handling clients' emotions.
Connection
The program also provided ample opportunity for participants to connect with each other in other ways, such as at the bowling alley, in the escape room, or during a workout in the woods. The connections participants make during the vocational training are valuable for the rest of their notarial careers.
Futureprof
The notary vocational program trains participants to become future professionals: notaries who combine in-depth legal knowledge with broad skills such as empathy and communication. This combination is essential in a rapidly changing society where legal expertise alone is not enough.
Future-oriented
The notary vocational training program and the kick-off meetings are part of the Futurepro(o)f program, a key focus of the Notary Strategic Agenda 2020-2025. With this program, the Royal Netherlands Notary Association (KNB) is committed to positioning the notary profession as an attractive and future-proof profession, in line with the needs of modern society.
