Legal Gateway on access to justice

The government has expressed its ambition to increase access to justice, including by lowering court fees. But access to justice encompasses more than that. Policymakers, politicians, and practitioners will discuss this during the Legal Gateway of the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries (KNB) on November 10th.

In the coming years, the Royal Dutch Notary Association (KNB) will be working with notaries to improve accessibility and increase reachability, particularly for those in the Netherlands who have rarely used notarial services, such as vulnerable groups. Language, behavior, and price are the main barriers people face regarding the image of and visits to notaries. A panel of experts—including members of the House of Representatives from the VVD, PvdA, and SP parties—will discuss these issues with each other and the audience.
