MAES notaries and job satisfaction
Interview Notariaat Magazine
An interview with notary (Geert) Janssen from our office was recently published in Notariaat Magazine. Notariaat Magazine is an information and opinion magazine for and about the notary profession, published eight times a year. It contains professional information, current developments, interviews, reports, and practical examples. Notariaat Magazine is a regularly consulted source of information for politicians, the media, members, and other stakeholders . The article for which Mr. Janssen was interviewed discusses notary offices struggling to attract good employees and discusses the importance of labor market communication, pub lectures, and a good espresso machine.
Job satisfaction
Janssen explained to the interviewer how MAES Civil-Law Notaries strives for job satisfaction. “Aside from employment conditions, it's important to offer employees a work environment where they feel safe and comfortable. We try to tailor the conditions as much as possible, down to the last detail—and from the employee's perspective—with the ultimate goal of contributing to employee job satisfaction. This includes a 'Code of Conduct & Integrity.' It states that we are inclusive and diverse, that we exclude no one, that we work together as a team, and that we behave respectfully. Treating each other and our clients respectfully is something every employee is committed to.”
Darts and karaoke
But it's also about details like a Tony Chocolonely with your latte macchiato. And about available amenities like a fitness room, a quiet room for meditation, yoga, and prayer, a putter to improve your golf skills, a dart room—a real winner—and a music room with a real karaoke system. So there's still time for some singing after work. Solo, duet, or choir. For those who want it. In fact, says Janssen, "we're a kind of corporate ClubMed. Everything in the office is available. It's intensive and sometimes exhausting and grueling, but above all, a lot of fun with lots of entertainment. Not all notaries are the same. Our clients know that. And so does our dream team."
Inclusivity and diversity
We believe our organization thrives when people from diverse backgrounds work for us. We actively recruit, retain, and promote a diverse group of employees within our firm because we believe in quality, regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation. We strive to create a stimulating work environment characterized by diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities.
