Inheritance Law Day
Why Inheritance Law Day?
Inheritance Law Day is organized to highlight the importance of expert guidance in the settlement of inheritances. For example, do you really know what's stipulated in your will? And are you certain it still reflects your current wishes? Are there any sensitive issues surrounding your will that you'd like to discuss, but don't know how to approach?
Free advice from MAES notaries
On Friday, June 17, 2022, you can have your will reviewed free of charge by appointment from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM as part of Inheritance Law Day. During this day, you can consult with (candidate) civil-law notaries free of charge to have your will and other deeds reviewed, or to receive advice on how to handle a sensitive matter and thus avoid hassles down the road.
Attention to the blended family
This year, during Inheritance Law Day, special attention is being paid to blended families: what are the consequences for the estate if one parent remarries? Are the children from the new partner's previous marriage also entitled to a share of the inheritance? Has this been considered and/or is it properly arranged?
Can't make it? Save the date!
If you are unable to attend on Friday, June 17th, or if others have preceded you due to the overwhelming interest, you can, of course, still register for the information meeting about bequests and inheritances that we are organizing on Tuesday, September 6th, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Van der Valk Hotel Schiedam. We will show you how you and your heirs can save a significant amount of money.
Good for each other!
