With Business Club CWO to Sparta

Yesterday, fifty of us from St. Business Club CWO witnessed Sparta defeat Go Ahead Eagles from Deventer 1-0 at home at the Kasteel.

Shortly after kickoff, The Hague native and Sparta player Tom Beugelsdijk—known to us all for his Hague-accented exclamation " Russaaagh "—took a nasty fall. Everyone in the stadium held their breath as players from both teams, with gloomy faces, formed a human wall around the unconscious player, just like Christian Eriksen at Euro 2020. Beugelsdijk was carried off the pitch after seven minutes, has a concussion, and is doing well under the circumstances, according to Sparta's club doctor.

Sparta were the only ones to score. A second alleged goal was disallowed for offside. Coach Henk Fraser's team could certainly use the victory and are now no longer bottom of their group.

After securing the victory, we headed to Kralingen with the CWO Business Club group for a delightful dinner at Gym & Gin. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Jeroen Onderdelinden of Fundament Financial Advice and Joris van der Windt of 3D Makelaars and everyone else involved for all their dedication and care in making this such a successful event possible.
